Finally got my brother wearing an Edward Kwan bow tie!

I’ve only been running Edward Kwan for 4.5 years and this was my brother’s first time wearing one of my bowies ... and only because he was a groomsman… “Does this look stupid?” Haha. I was excited to work on the bow ties for my brothers’ close friends’ wedding (also my friends), as well as to provide excellent customer service by turning up before the wedding to tie the boys’ bow ties as none of them knew how to tie a bow tie.

My customer, Denis, sent me a photo of our Hugo bow tie and said he liked it, but wanted it in maroon. Because I couldn’t find maroon polka dot fabric to match, I hand painted the dots on myself. We then found silk dupioni for the second side to match the colour of the bridesmaids’ dresses. They looked pretty damn good!! My dress also happened to match - trying to get in on the bridal party!!! Here are some close up shots of the bow ties plus a video of me painting on the polka dots. Simple but chic.

I don't have any professional photos yet of the 4 groomsmen and the bride and groom and bridesmaids unfortunately! All in all it was a super fun wedding at the Werribee Mansion complete with a Porsche limo which took us to the after party in the city. Woohoo!
